Mother’s Love

Oh my little one take my handGrains of Sand
Come with me to explore this land
Walk with me in the grains of sand
Hand in hand life is so grand

When you were so small
Oh how you would call
Mommy come I had a fall
I would lift you up so tall

When you finally opened the door
You ran and ran on the shore
I could hear you laugh and roar
Oh how you wanted to soar

You are always my sparkle of light
How your love for me burns so bright
My heart is filled with delight
You are my ray of sunlight

The years were filled with memories so grand
I was there when he took your hand
Now it is he who walks with you in the sand
Oh my baby how I miss this land

Now you give me such a surprise
This is so wonderful you realize
As I look into her eyes
I know now I am so wise

The life cycle is complete
Oh my she is so sweet
My heart starts to skip a beat
Oh how my life is bittersweet

Now I look down at her and say
As we sit on the floor to play
I am never far away
I am always here to stay

Oh my little one take my hand
Come with me to explore this land
Walk with me in the grains of sand
Hand in hand life is so grand

By Ann LeFlore written to my daughter for all the years of love and happiness in my life with you.

You

Written by Ann LeFlore

You

I stretched out my hands
You pushed them away
I opened my heart
You pushed it away
You filled it with pain

Rivers of sorrows
have consumed my tomorrows
Floods of years
will wash away my fears
Broken hearts
are slowly mended

Seeds of sorrows will
fill my tomorrows
Rivers of tears will cry
throughout the years
Valleys of emptiness
will fill with fears

Dreams of tomorrow
will be washed away with tears
Hopes of today
are gone with years

If I die tomorrow
Please don’t cry with fear
Just smile and think of me
throughout the years

The Concrete Jungle Frozen Within

Below my feet

The Concrete Jungle Frozen Within

A vast out stretch

Of concrete and black tar

As far as the eye can see

The earth is covered

No barren spot can be seen

Houses loom on top of each other

Towers stack people

Up in the air

Side by side

On the bottom

You listen

As people walk on your head

From above

No trees

No flowers

Little grass can be seen

No green in sight

The brown barren remains

Look you in the eye

The friendly faces

The smiles

Gone at last

Not a spoken word

Does one mutter

As they encounter you

On the empty street

Passing them by

Freedom is gone

The loom hangs over

People looking at the feet

As they hurry on by

Afraid to look up and smile

The mugger might be near

The children are prisoners

No chance to be free

Parents cradle their little ones

Deep inside their homes

Afraid to let them out

The predator might be born

Stocking from a parked car

Driving down the road

Ready to snatch

The innocent

And prey upon the thorn

The city life

As dangerous as can be

Offers no freedom

Anywhere I can see

People hide within their homes

Afraid to look outside

The cars race up the street

Late into the night

Hiding and praying

As the gun shots ring out

In the middle of the night

The cars race by

Fast as can be

Young boys hang out the windows

Colors dull and dark

Not seen in the night

Displaying their colors

This gang bang is me

Fear creeps in

As the car speeds away

Afraid to open your door

To see who is screaming

Next door

A cry rings out

In the middle of the night

Bouncing off the concrete walls

Echoing in the silence night

Help me someone

Little Johnny been

Gunned down

Not a sound you can hear

No help is on the way

People kneel down and pray

Hidden deep inside their homes

Prisoners in the jungle

Of concrete and fear

People know not what to do

The world around

Is gone

Not like before

Freedom is a thing of the past

Fear now looms within

Written by Ann LeFlore after leaving the islands where the land is not covered over with concrete and the roads are still small to the city where all you see is concrete under your feet. On the islands children are free but in the city children are forced to stay inside their homes and do not play on the street. The city is so different than the islands and the life here is not the same.

Achieving Your Goals Through Visualization

Achieving Your Goals Through Visualization

Personal goals, business goals, or family goals are the central key to personal and professional success. Stating your goals will not accomplish your task for you. You have to put your goals down as a concrete statement of what you want. A timeline is of utter most importance in achieving your goals and getting what you want.

Sharing your goals with others holds you accountable for your tasks. Each day read your goals out loud and look for ways to reinforce each goal and achievement. A higher degree of success can be achieved by adding creative visualization to your goal setting and implementations.

When you use creative visualization to link your goals to the power of your imagination you are forming a subconscious bond with your mind. You are visualizing in your mind your goal success and forming a powerful tool to support your vision of success.

By setting a goal and capturing it on paper you have a word picture of what you want to achieve. What you want as your outcome, what efforts you will do to achieve these goals, and when finished what you plan to do for your next achievement.

Now take these words and create a mental image in your mind, picture in your mind what it will be like once you have achieved this goal. Creating a visual image of your goal in your mind allows you to see things that you want. You can visualize how it will be once your goal is achieved. See your efforts for your work, your relationship, even yourself, the way you want them to be and the outcome you are striving for.

By using creative visualization we can harness our emotions, use our concentration to achieve our goals, and focus on our outcome. We create a brilliant, vivid mental picture in our minds of what we want to achieve. As you keep replaying these images over and over again in your mind you are using the art of creative visualization to move in the direction of powerful, positive thoughts.

Each day moves you closer to the visual image of your completed goal and success of your outcome. By using visualization you stop your subconscious mind from taking over negative thought. Positive visualization stops your unconscious and subconscious mind from taking over your thoughts and directing them in a negative direction. You are now continuously and consciously using your thoughts as a powerful tool to achieve what you truly want in your life.

Each day each waking moment concentrate on your goal. Play the visual image in your mind. Look deep into your thoughts and see your image of success. Using visual images of what you want to achieve helps keep you on the right track and your goals and keeps you focused on your desired destination.

The power of positive thinking, visualization, and forming positive images in your mind brings you closer to your desired goals. Each step of the process leads you closer to success. If you allow your mind to wonder and think negative thoughts this only hold you back from your goals and what you want to achieve in your life. Always think and visualize where you want to be and how you are going to achieve this goal in your life.
